Ryan Berecky, M.D., DABR

Dr. Berecky graduated with an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine where he achieved honors and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He joins Tahoe Carson Radiology after completion of a rigorous residency training program at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas and additional advanced subspecialty training in neuroradiology at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.

 In addition to interest in the practice of general radiology, Dr. Berecky has special interest in imaging disorders of the brain and spine including imaging of stroke and brain malignancy using advanced imaging techniques such as CT and MR perfusion and angiography, diffusion tensor imaging, and spectroscopy. Dr. Berecky has additional training and interest in CT colonography (virtual colonoscopy). He also performs numerous interventional and pain procedures including lumbar epidural steroid injections and shoulder and hip injections.

 Dr. Berecky is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, the American College of Radiology, and the American Society of Neuroradiology. He is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Radiology and holds the board's subspecialty certificate of added qualification in neuroradiology. 

 Dr. Berecky spends much of his free time at Lake Tahoe and in the surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains. His personal interests include fitness, nutrition, international travel, and just about anything outdoors.
