Dr. Scott Thalman earned his undergraduate degree in Applied Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Brigham Young University, graduating Cum Laude in 2011.
He went on to complete a combined MD/PhD program at the University of Kentucky, where he received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 with a focus on MRI brain perfusion imaging techniques, followed by his Doctor of Medicine in 2021.
He completed his intern year in Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, Kansas, and remained there for his residency in Diagnostic Radiology, graduating in 2026. During residency, he also completed the American Board of Radiology Accelerated Pathway in Nuclear Radiology.
Dr. Thalman’s professional interests center on nuclear and molecular imaging, with a particular emphasis on oncologic imaging and theranostics. His subspecialty training includes novel radionuclide therapies for prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumors, as well as advanced nuclear imaging for neurocognitive disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Originally from Loveland, Colorado, Dr. Thalman is looking forward to returning to the mountains after many years of training in the Midwest and East. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. His personal interests include skiing, hiking, pickleball, and good barbecue.
