Dr. Pace was raised in Connecticut, playing hockey. In high school, he worked at Connecticut
Hospice. Those experiences sparked his desire to practice medicine. He went on to complete
His undergraduate studies at the University of Vermont with the goal of entering medicine.
Following his undergraduate studies, he worked as an associate research scientist for Bayer Diagnostics.

He then went on to complete medical school at Columbia University in New York City.
After medical school, Dr. Pace proceeded to complete his internal medicine internship,
diagnostic radiology residency and fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the
University of Vermont.

Post graduation, Dr. Pace practiced in Plattsburgh, NY, where he founded the vascular and
interventional radiology service at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital. He served as the
medical director during his entire time there. By the time Dr. Pace left the program, he had built over
9 years, the IR program was a thriving, full-service interventional radiology practice, consisting
of 4 interventional radiologists and one physician assistant. Also, while in Plattsburgh, Dr. Pace
was one of the founding physicians of the local wound center.

During the time Dr. Pace was at CVPH, his clinical focus was on the treatment of high
complexity peripheral vascular disease, interventional oncology, women’s health such as uterine
fibroid embolization, treatment of pelvic congestion syndrome, and the entire range of highly
complex interventional procedures on par with major medical centers.

Dr. Pace then spent 4 years in Western Colorado at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, a
Trauma and stroke center, where he continued to hone his skills by performing endovascular
stroke interventions, gained much skill in trauma interventions, and further expanded his
interventional oncology practice. Dr. Pace was also the first physician west of the continental
divide in Colorado to perform a minimally invasive procedure called percutaneous AV fistula
creation.

Since arriving in Carson City, Dr. Pace’s passion for complex procedures still burns. He also
performs diagnostic imaging interpretation and has recently reintroduced mammography to his
repertoire. He truly enjoys the communities he serves.

In his free time, Dr. Pace enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Hobbies include
boating, classic cars, motorcycles, and spending time outdoors when he can. Coming full circle,
he finds the work that he continues to do with Hospice very rewarding
